Camps)

through this page for all kinds of important info that will make your camp
experience all it can be...
Grade policy
The grade for all
camps listed in this packet refers to the grade a camper will enter
in the Fall of 2006. Campers must register for the camp for their grade
level.
Money
All money brought
by camper will be turned in during registration at the beginning of camp.
Money can be used at the camp store. Any money not checked in during
registration is considered the camper’s responsibility. Loch Leven
and the Camp and Conference Committee are not responsible for lost or stolen
money.
Camp Store
During free time
campers can purchase snacks, soda, Loch Leven t-shirts and water bottles.
Each camp will decide whether or not they will have the camp store available
during the week.
Medications
All prescription
and non-prescription medication must be turned in to the camp nurse during
registration at the beginning of camp.
Camp Mail
A highlight of the
week for campers is receiving mail from family and friends. We encourage
letters and packages; however, due to the pest problems packages containing
food are not allowed. If sent, the directors will confiscate food
items.

All items
should be labeled for identification.
What
NOT to Bring
Expensive jewelry,
cell phones, pagers, radios, tape/CD players, electronic games, televisions,
furniture, fireworks, pets, skateboards, roller blades, bikes, weapons,
open toed shoes, alcoholic beverages, drugs, or tobacco products. Any of
the above items will be held by the directors for the remainder of camp.
Some items may result in camper’s dismissal from camp (please
see guidelines).
Campers with Special
Needs
The Camp and Conference
Committee is committed to planning for a successful camp experience for
every camper. In order to do so, it is imperative that each camp
staff be aware of any special needs (i.e. learning or physical disability,
emotional needs) an individual camper may have.
It is in the camper’s
best interest that this information be written in the appropriate section
located on the registration form or communicated to the Camp and Conference
Committee by contacting , pswrcamp@yahoo.com.
Leaving Camp Early/Arriving
Late
Campers are not
permitted to leave camp and are expected to stay at camp for the entire
time. Campers are also expected to arrive to camp on time. Please
refer to the Whole Week Attendance-Early Departure Rationale.
Phone Use
Campers are not
allowed to use the phone for personal calls or receive personal phone calls
while camp is in session. Emergency phone calls will be received
through the Summer Camp and Conference Directors/Program office phone at
909.389.7453.
Visitors
Visitors are not
allowed at camp at any time unless approved by the camp directors or the
Camp and Conference Committee.
Car Keys
Campers who drive
themselves to camp must turn in their car keys during registration at the
beginning of camp.
Fire
Loch Leven is located
in a High Fire Hazard area and is subject to inspection and regulation
by the United States Forestry Service. Fires are permitted only in
fireplaces when built by Loch Leven staff only. Every camp will perform
an emergency drill so that camp staff and campers are prepared.
Head Lice
All campers will
be inspected for lice by the camp nurse during registration at the beginning
of camp. Due to health concerns and to protect the other campers, any campers
found with lice or nits will not be allowed to stay for camp.
Primary Insurance
Please fill out
your primary insurance information located on the Health Form. Camp
insurance is available only as a secondary insurance for campers who require
emergency medical treatment while at camp.
